Practice Pro · monthly exclusion monitoring
Monthly OIG exclusion monitoring for your whole staff list
Save your staff and vendor list once. Every month, after OIG’s update, everyone is re-screened against OIG, SAM.gov and state Medicaid lists, and you get the dated PDF record by email. $79 a month.
How Practice Pro works
- 1Save your list
Paste names or upload a CSV of employees, contractors and vendors (up to 250). Add NPIs where you have them.
- 2We re-check it every month
On the 12th, after OIG publishes its monthly update, everyone is screened against the OIG list, SAM.gov and the California, New York, Pennsylvania Medicaid lists.
- 3You get the record
An email with the dated PDF screening record arrives every month. If anyone new looks like a match, the email says who and why.
- 4You confirm and file it
Confirm any possible match on the official source, and keep the PDF with your compliance files for audits and credentialing.

Who it’s for
Every employee and contractor whose work Medicare or Medicaid pays for, directly or indirectly.
Client-ready monthly records showing placed workers were screened against OIG and SAM.gov.
High-turnover staff screened at hire and every month without anyone remembering to do it.
Proof for the providers you work with that your own team is screened.
Why monthly
OIG updates its exclusion list every month, and CMS told state Medicaid programs to require providers to search for excluded employees and contractors monthly (CMS SMDL #09-001). Billing for work by someone you should have known was excluded can cost up to $25,595 per item or service, plus up to 3 times the amount claimed (HHS, 2026).
Questions
What does Practice Pro check?
The OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities, the SAM.gov exclusions list and the California, New York, Pennsylvania state Medicaid exclusion lists. Each monthly record names the lists and the date of each copy used.
When does the monthly check run?
On the 12th of each month. OIG publishes its monthly update by the 10th, so each run uses the new list.
How much does it cost?
$79 a month or $790 a year per practice, for up to 250 names. No setup fee. Cancel any time from your account.
Is a possible match proof that someone is excluded?
No. Many people share names. Confirm on OIG’s search with the person’s Social Security number, on SAM.gov, or with the state agency before acting. The email tells you exactly which record matched.
Where is my list stored and who can see it?
Your list is stored securely with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) only so it can be re-checked each month. It is never shared or used for anything else, and you can delete it and your account at any time.
Do I need a password?
No. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email.
Can I still use the free tools?
Yes. The single check, the bulk check of up to 500 names and the PDF record stay free.
Do you cover every state Medicaid list?
Not yet. We check California, New York, Pennsylvania automatically and add states as their official files allow automated downloads. For other states, our directory links to every official list.
